Silent Ice Centre

Location: Nisku, Alberta
GENERAL CONTRACTOR: Eagle Builders
ARCHITECT: Vosh Architecture
AcOUSTIC dESIGN: wESTERN nOISE cONTROL

The Silent Ice Arena project was initially designed and specified with PVC-baffles, but after meticulous calculations, we recommended switching to our Echotrol™ baffles due to their superior acoustic performance, offering better sound absorption and clarity—crucial for the arena's dynamic environment. Additionally, we introduced acoustic wall panels to further improve sound quality and flipped the design of the overhead clouds to a more economical yet effective solution.

Although we were not responsible for the original design, our strategic interventions played a critical role in optimizing the arena’s acoustics. Leveraging our Alberta-based manufacturing capabilities, we efficiently delivered and installed the Echotrol™ baffles, wall panels, and clouds, ensuring the project remained on schedule. Our experienced team executed the installation seamlessly, navigating the arena’s operational constraints, resulting in a vastly improved auditory experience for both athletes and spectators, and solidifying Silent Ice Arena as a top-tier facility.
