ECHOTROL™ ACOUSTIC Wall PANELS
ECHOTROL™ ACOUSTIC WALL PANELS offer excellent sound absorption characteristics in a number of cost-effective architectural finishes. These attributes enable them to be utilized in virtually any interior environment requiring sound quality improvements. Each sound-absorbing panel consists of rigid, high-density, and formaldehyde-free acoustical fiberglass. A variety of edge and corner styles are available, and some may be used in combination to create unique and attractive designs. Finishes include fire-rated acoustical fabrics in a variety of colors and textures.
The flexibility of our ECHOTROL™ ACOUSTIC PANELS allows them to be used in most interior areas requiring acoustical upgrading. The panels may be installed in a variety of ways. They may be mounted close together or spaced further apart on either a wall or ceiling system. Panels varying in shape and size may also be combined for an interesting abstract appearance.
What’s in a Name?
When discussing acoustic solutions, the term "acoustic panels" is often at the forefront - and is the one we choose to use for our products. However, there are various other terms and phrases that are commonly used and hold significance in the realm of sound control. It is worth understanding these terms when reviewing products, to make sure you are comparing similar options. For instance, acoustic panels are also frequently referred to as "sound absorption panels," "soundproof panels," or simply "sound panels." Any of these terms can refer to panels that are designed to control echo and reverberation within a space, ensuring optimal sound quality. Beyond just panels, the broader field of acoustics encompasses concepts like "sound-absorbing fabric-wrapped boards" and "acoustic conditioning."

In construction specifications, the information is organized into divisions that detail requirements for different construction elements. Division 9 specifically pertains to "Finishes." Within Division 9, you would typically find specifications related to various finishing materials and methods, such as painting, plastering, and flooring.
Acoustic panels, being a part of interior finishes, would typically be found under Division 9. More specifically, they might be located under a subsection dedicated to "Acoustical Ceilings" or "Acoustical Wall Treatments." The exact section number or title might vary depending on the specific format or version of the specification being used, but it's common to find them under a title like "09 80 00 - Acoustic Treatment" or a similar designation.
Within this section or subsection, you would find detailed specifications for the acoustic panels, including material descriptions, installation methods, performance criteria (like Noise Reduction Coefficient ratings), and other relevant details.
If you're working with a specific set of construction specifications or a particular format, it's always a good idea to consult the table of contents or index to locate the exact section where acoustic panels are detailed.

NRC RATING
NOISE REDUCTION COEFFICENT
Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) is calculated by averaging the sound absorption coefficients of a material at four frequencies (250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz) as measured in a reverberation room according to ASTM C423 standards.

Cleaning & Care Instructions
Normal surface dust and dirt can be removed from the fabric by vacuuming with a horsehair duster brush attachment. If vacuuming does not clean the fabric, lightly dab the fabric with a slightly damp cloth. Use a white cotton cloth and water mixed with a mild detergent. Squeeze as much of the water out of the cloth as possible before dabbing to avoid saturating the fabric with water.
DO NOT use excess pressure to scrub the fabric.
