At Western Noise Control, we recognize and respect the Indigenous peoples on whose traditional lands we live, work, and operate. Our manufacturing headquarters are located in Edmonton, Alberta, which sits on Treaty 6 Territory, a traditional gathering place and home to many Indigenous nations, including the Cree, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Blackfoot, and Métis peoples.
In Calgary, we acknowledge that we are situated on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 peoples, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (comprising the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
In Richmond, British Columbia, we acknowledge the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish Nations.
We are grateful for the privilege of working on these lands and are committed to fostering relationships based on respect, inclusivity, and mutual understanding. We honour the histories, languages, and cultures of Indigenous communities and acknowledge their enduring connection to the land as we continue to operate and grow.
OUR COMMITMENT TO ALL PEOPLE; AS THEY ARE OUR STRENGTH
We are a multi-faceted design, manufacturing, and installation organization with a commitment to build our team with as many First Nations and Metis peoples as possible given our internal training programs and well-aligned products, systems, and services.
We focus on creating and growing careers within each of these disciplines and our team enjoys a full benefits package including a company-matched retirement savings program. As well, there are those less fortunate than our team members so we support the United Way and other charities.
When we have the occasion to replace older baffle systems from swimming pools we recycle/re-use the old baffles by offering them to organizations like drop-in centres and animal shelters with limited funding. We also provide discounted pricing for new installations to charitable foundations, churches, and animal shelters.
In addition, we manufacture our wood fascia products using native wood whenever possible BUT also complete the CNC cutting process on equipment located within or as close to the community the installation is being completed in.
