The Bigstone Cree Nation Education Authority embarked on a significant project to build a new Bigstone Cree Nation High School, with a strong emphasis on incorporating the Sakaw Cree language and culture into every aspect of its design. Western Noise Control was honored to serve as the acoustic contractor and manufacturer, providing specialized acoustic panels and baffles that enhanced the auditory experience within the school while respecting and reflecting the cultural significance of the space. By integrating Cree teachings into the curriculum and the physical environment, this initiative is expected to strengthen the Nation's path toward sovereignty and self-determination, ultimately improving graduation rates and bringing secondary education closer to the community.

Not our video, but this construction highlight shows off the beautiful acoustic tiles in the entryway of the school. There is also some video in the sprung structure gymnasium during our initial layout for the Echofelt+ acoustic baffle installation.
